HACKENSACK, N.J. - The Knights (2-6) swept D'Youville (4-5) in their second win on the weekend.
How it Happened
Set One
-The Knights came out to a 5-2 lead with three kills by Santiago La Jara.
-The Saints got within one of FDU with a kill by Jacob Malak, but could not close the gap.
-FDU took off on a 8-3 run capped with a pair of kills by Artem Vetrov for a six-point edge.
-Rui Fernandes posted a block at the net to send the team on a five-point run and close the set 25-15.
-La Jara led the set with six kills, hitting a .857 clip.Â
Set Two
-The Knights opened the set with an ace by Jack Lydon to establish a 2-1 advantage.
-The teams traded points to seven till a kill by Lydon and double block broke open an edge.
-With a five-point spurt, FDU forced a D'Youville timeout midway through the set.
-Three-straight kills by the Knights extended their lead to nine.
-D'Youville worked their way out of the deficit on a 5-1 run.
-As a team, FDU recorded five blocks in the set as Vetrov and Lydon led with five points each.
Set Three
-The set began with three-straight kills by FDU to force a D'Youville timeout.
-The Saints launched on a 7-2 run to tie the set at eight.
-The set shifted into a tight battle as the teams traded points to 17.
-It was a final kill by Lorenzo Bonomo that sealed the match in the Knights favor, 25-21.

-Santiago La Jara had a breakout performance, leading the Knights with 12 kills on a .556 clip.
-Four Knights hit over a .300 average, as Jack Lydon also recorded double-digit kills.
