Men's Basketball returns home to face Queens Thursday

HACKENSACK, N.J. - Returning to action for the first time in over a week as finals come to a close, the FDU men's basketball team (6-7, 0-0 NEC) welcomes Queens (9-3, 0-0 ASUN) to Stratis Arena for the second-ever meeting between the Knights and Royals on Thursday, December 22 at 7 p.m.

Thursday's tilt is the first home game for the Burgundy and Blue in 11 days as FDU gets set for next Thursday's Northeast Conference opener at home against Merrimack (Dec. 29) at 7 p.m. Looking to bounce back after the December 13 game at Richmond, the Knights look to continue their winning ways at home, averaging 85.33 points per game inside the friendly confines of the Rothman Center.

Graduate student guard Demetre Roberts still leads all Knights in scoring with 214 points in 13 starts in 2022-23 and sits third in the nine-team NEC despite not playing over nine days. Leading all NEC teams with 77.2 points per game, FDU looks to go 4-0 at home to begin the campaign with two games remaining on the banks of the Hackensack heading into the New Year with the Knights set to welcome Centenary on New Year's Eve at 12 p.m.

Queens enters Thursday game with nine wins on the campaign, their first as a Division I program in the ASUN. Playing Big Ten member Nebraska on Tuesday, the Royals would fall by just 10 with Kenny Dye and AJ McKee leading all Queens scorers in the contest with 13 points a piece.

Tickets for Thursday's game are on-sale now at FDUKnights.com/Tickets.

The 2022-23 men's basketball season is presented by Bogota Savings Bank.
