"That was a tough match for sure. But we had to have a taste of what it feels like to be here first," head coach David Nguyen said. "The first set is what it is but the second and third set we fought and played scrappy. We had some amazing rallies that other people didn't expect. We never stop fighting that's just who we are."
"From the beginning of the season, we had a fire lit under our belt. we kind of felt like we were the underdogs. A lot of people were betting against us and it made us work hard," said senior middle blocker, Tessa Fisk. "Today we just wanted to do our best and I think this program is just going up from here."
