2023 Knights Softball Schedule Announced

HACKENSACK, N.J. - FDU softball and head coach Chris Foye announced Friday the team's 2023 schedule with 54 games in store for the Burgundy and Blue beginning in Florida on February 10.

FDU gets things underway taking part in the Frank Griffin Classic hosted by Stetson playing five games in three days taking on Dayton, the host Hatters and Providence over the first weekend of the season. Heading to California for the first time since 2019, the Knights will visit San Diego to play Utah Tech, the Toreros, Boise State and Witchita State for the Torero Classic from Feb. 17-19.

Continuing non-conference play in warm weather, FDU take-on UMBC and Morgan State in the Morgan State Round Robin with two games each on March 4 and 5 before heading to Virginia for the JMU Dukes Invitational, battling Coppin State, Radford, JMU and Saint Joseph's from March 10-12 before Northeast Conference play gets going on March 18 against LIU.

Playing in New Jersey for the first time in 2023 on March 22, FDU will visit Jersey City for the second time in as many seasons for the first of two series this year against Saint Peter's with the two North Jersey schools scheduled to play a twin bill before the Peacocks come to Hackensack on April 27.

Of the six remaining NEC series, half will be home with the Knights welcoming Merrimack (April 1-2), Central Connecticut (April 15-16) and Wagner (April 29-30) to FDU Softball Field in addition to non-conference series with Manhattan - the team's home opener - on Mar. 28 and Stony Brook (April 4).

In addition to the Sharks, road conference series include Sacred Heart (Mar. 25-26), Saint Francis U (Pa.) (April 7-8) and new NEC member Stonehill (April 22-23). The Knights will also make a pair of day trips for regional non-conference series, paying visits to Lafayette (April 12) and BIG EAST member Seton Hall (April 19).

All home games will air live on NEC Front Row and the NEC on the Run app. Schedule is subject to change.
