Knights, Panthers Set for Nationally Televised Clash Tuesday

PITTSBURGH - Hitting the hardwood for their fourth game in five days, FDU men's basketball (3-3, 0-0 NEC) takes on Pitt (2-3, 0-0 ACC) in the second-ever meeting between the two east coast programs. Tip-off is set for 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22 live on ACC Network from the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.

FDU is coming of a four-point win against VMI to close-out the JK54 Classic. FDU is 1-24 all-time against current ACC teams with the lone win coming against Miami before the Hurricanes joined their current league with FDU emerging victorious 73-70 on February 10, 1987. The Knights most recently faced Virginia last season.

The Burgundy and Blue were paced this weekend by Northeast Conference Prime Performers Heru Bligen and Demetre Roberts who combined for nearly 100 points in three games in Farmville, ending with the win over the Keydets. Roberts - the NEC's second-leading scorer this season - comes into Tuesday's tilt 18.8 points per game in his first six Division I matchups.

Facing a Pitt team that's coming off a 19-point win over Alabama State, the Knights will look to shoot down the Panthers' season average of 67.2 points per game with Pitt's Blake Hinson lead their charge with almost 17 p.p.g. and six boards to go along with it.

After Thanksgiving, FDU returns to the Garden State when the Knights head to Jersey City to face Saint Peter's on Sunday, November 27 at 2 p.m. live on ESPN+.

The 2022-23 men's basketball season is presented by Bogota Savings Bank.
