Coach Roland's Thoughts
"I thought we underperformed a little bit tonight. We didn't play so badly, but we were just a half-step late defensively and a little less sharp offensively than we've been recently - and that can be the difference between winning and losing. It's important that we learn from this game and use it to get better moving forward."
"Fordham is a team with everyone back from their NCAA tournament team this past spring that lost their opening round game in overtime to the eventual national champion, Marshall."
"We face the same challenge with this Tuesday's [9/14] game against Lehigh. The 2019 Patriot League champs just lost back-to-back games by one goal each to two nationally-ranked teams in Pitt and Rutgers. It's important for us to play these teams in order to challenge ourselves. As Olympians Sydney McCullough and Delilah Mohammed said about their rivalry, 'iron sharpens iron'."
