Scouting the Black Knights
Army enters their second fixture of the season coming off a 4-2 home victory on August 26 against La Salle. Two Black Knight rookies in Andrew Guerra and Brandon Bryant scored their first collegiate goals. All four Army goals were scored in the first half. As a team, the home side would combine for 10 shots in the game, four of which were on goal. Another first was made on the 26th as Army head coach Brian Plotkin recorded his first win at the helm of the Black Knights. He was hired to coach at West Point back on May 27.

Scouting the Knights
The Knights fell to in-state rival NJIT 4-1 on opening night (8/26), the first time they played in the month of August since 2019. FDU's senior Joshua Ferreira scored the lone goal for the Knights' marking his first score of the season on an assist from junior Edoardo Calzola. The Burgundy and Blue played 20 student-athletes in the contest, including three who enter their first campaign "on the Hackensack." Sophomore Blake Hylton started at goalkeeper and went the full 90, recording four saves on 17 shots faced. The game also marked the start of head coach Seth Roland's 25th season as the Knights head coach.

Coach Roland's Thoughts
"Army always presents challenges because they have a great mentality, they're fit and they're strong. I'm looking forward to seeing how we respond coming off a disappointing season-opening performance last game. We've addressed some things in the last couple of days and I feel we are in a good frame of mind heading into Monday's match."
