Box Score WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – The No. 1 seeded Fairleigh Dickinson men's tennis team won its 13th NEC Championship in program history with a convincing 4-3 win on Sunday afternoon from the Mercer County Tennis Center. This marked FDU's first NEC Championship win since 2013.

Teodors Pukse was named NEC Tournament MVP after winning in both singles and doubles today as well as a singles win yesterday. Junior

Youssef Sader were also named to the NEC All-Tournament Team.

How it Happened
- Dhouib and redshirt junior Niclas Pietsch opened the NEC Championship with a 6-4 victory in number two doubles over Luis Foix Sotos and Paulo Chiapponi and went 2-0 in doubles in the Tournament.
- After the Terriers won number three doubles, Pukse and senior Andris Gudins played a back-and-forth number one doubles match with Gustavo Pinho and Miroslav Cvjetan, but Pukse and Gudins registered a thrilling 7-5 victory to give FDU the doubles point.
- Dhouib then extended FDU's lead in the Championship to 2-0 with a 7-6 (5), 6-1 win in number two doubles and finished the NEC Tournament 2-0 in singles play.
- After the Knights fell in number three, four, and five singles, Pukse came through to tie the match with a three-set win in number one action after winning 6-2 in the first set, falling 4-6 in the second set, and pulling away to a 6-1 win in the third set to go 2-0 for the Tournament in singles.
- Sader came back and captured the NEC Title for the Knights in number six singles after falling 5-7 in the first set, he rallied back to win 6-3 in the second and 6-3 in the third set.
