HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's volleyball team dropped a pair of conference tilts to the league's top team, Sacred Heart at the Rothman Center on Friday night.
Match 1: FDU 0, SHU 3 (19-25, 22-25, 23-25)

Match 1: SHU 3, FDU 0
- Madisyn Beirne, Magdalena Maksimovic and Mujay Mambu each recorded nine kills for the Knights in the straight-set loss.
- The Pioneers registered a .288 attack percentage compared to the Knights' .198 clip although the Knights registered five blocks and the Pioneers just one.
- Seniors Victoria Demmene and Allison Koester each totaled a pair of service aces as the Knights netted five as a team.
- The Burgundy and Blue fell behind 9-1 in the opening set as the Pioneers maintained their edge.
- In the second, the Knights captured a 16-11 lead after a kill by Mambu but the Pioneers chipped away and the game would be tied at 21.
- Three straight points by the Pioneers including an ace by Olivia Fairchild helped give the visitors a 2-0 lead.
- The third set was tight throughout as the Knights took a 20-19 lead before a 4-0 spurt by the Pioneers helped them take the lead and the match.
Match 2: SHU 3, FDU 1
- Mambu and Tessa Fisk paced the Knights in the second match of the night with 10 kills apiece, while senior setter McKenna Setterlund dished out 40 assists.
- Fisk's 10 kills are a career-high for the sophomore, who joined the Knights this season.
- Koester led the way defensively with 19 digs, while Mambu added seven total blocks to her ledger.
- Reghan Palanchi led the way for the Pioneers with 20 kills and Sarah Ciszek totaled 37 assists and 20 digs.
- After dropping the opening game of the set, the Knights' rebounded and took control in the second. An ace by freshman Ella Carver helped establish a 22-13 lead en route to the win.
- The momentum continued for the Burgundy and Blue in the third as they raced out to a 10-4 lead after a kill by Fisk but the Pioneers would fight back.
- The Knights led 22-20 before the Pioneers registered five of the final six points to take the set and a lead.
- Once again in the fourth set, the Knights jumped out to an early lead, 10-3, before the Pioneers roared back.
- An 11-3 run by the visitors helped turn the tables as they pulled out the set and match win.
