Sacred Heart (0-1) opened the 2021 campaign with a 4-3 loss to Stony Brook on Friday, February 26. The Pioneers were picked fourth in the NEC Preseason Poll. SHU won all three doubles matches in close fashion, with Vitalina Golod and Ciara O'Toole leading the way with a 6-5 win in number one doubles. Golod also won her number one singles match against Stony Brook by a 6-4, 7-5 margin. S Katsiaryna won a crazy three-set match in number four singles (6-3, 7-5, 10-4).
