LITTLE SILVER, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson men's tennis team (0-1) began the 2021 season with a 6-1 loss to Monmouth on Wednesday night at Little Silver Tennis Club. The Knights earned the double point as they won two of the three matches.

How it Happened
	- FDU's no. 1 doubles team, junior Mehdi Dhouib and freshman Younes Adnane registered a down to the wire 7-6 (4) win over Monmouth's Max Benaim and Sergio Martinez.
 
	- The Knights then earned the doubles point with a number two doubles victory led by senior Andris Gudins and sophomore Teodors Pukse by a 6-4 margins against Lucas Silva and Gabe Busato.
 
	- FDU then went dropped all six singles matches, with Dhouib coming the closest to pulling out the victory with a 7-5, 6-4 loss in number one singles.

The Knights will return to action on Friday, March 5 when they travel to Villanova to take on the Wildcats at 1:00 p.m.
