How it Happened
  • The Knights jumped out to a 9-3 lead but the game was tied at 23 midway through the opening half.
  • A three-point play by Jenkins established an eight-point lead for the Knights, 35-27, with 5:40 to play in the stanza. Jenkins had buried a top-of-the-key three-pointer on the previous play for a quick 6-0 run.
  • The Knights hit a cold spurt offensively as the Terriers fought back and erased the deficit before Joe Munden Jr. knocked down a corner three to put the Knights back in front with under two minutes to go in the half.
  • The teams traded the lead twice before a three-pointer by Rob Higgins in the waning seconds sent the Terriers into the break with a 45-43 edge.
  • Three minutes out of the break, a three-point play by Vuk Stevanic provided the Terriers with their first double-digit lead of the contest, 57-47.
  • The lead ballooned to 14 before the Knights responded with a 6-0 run courtesy of back-to-back threes from Marc Dadika and Callum Baker.
  • The momentum continued as the Burgundy and Blue connected on 9-of-10 over five minutes for a 17-4 run and tied the game at 76 with just over five minutes to go. Williams fought through contact to deliver the game-tying layup.
  • A jumper by Chauncey Hawkins put the Terriers up to by two with two minutes to play. Hawkins' bucket set off a stretch of six-straight points for the Terriers.
  • The Knights refused to go away and cut the deficit to one point, 88-87, after Daniel Rodriguez converted a three-point play with 16.3 to go.
  • Trailing by one, the Knights had two quality chances near the basket but both managed to spin out before the Terriers split a pair at the line.
  • The Knights had one final chance to tie with 0.7 on the clock but the full-court, desperation attempt was off the mark.
