HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball team (4-6, 0-0 NEC) dropped a 73-52 decision to Saint Peter's University (5-6, 2-0 MAAC) in the final non-conference game of the season Wednesday afternoon in the Rothman Center.
How it Happened
- After the Knights tallied the first three points of the game, the Peacocks went on a 20-3 spurt to close out the first quarter. Madison Stanley had all six points for the Knights in the opening 10 minutes.
- Taylor Crystian recorded a three-point play early in the second to trim the deficit to 12, but Saint Peter's erupted went on a 12-1 run to expand the lead past 20.
- The Knights limited Saint Peter's to just three field goals in the fourth quarter but were unable to get any closer than 18 the rest of the way.
Inside the Box Score
- Chloe Wilson scored a team-high 16 points in the setback and was a perfect 10-of-10 from the free-throw line. The 10 made free throws were the most by an individual since Lauren Francillon hit 11 against Central Connecticut State on January 12.
- Dahomée Forgues tallied 13 points, her fourth game of the season with 10 or more points. Forgues also shot 7-of-8 from the charity stripe.
- Saint Peter's shot 64.8% (18-of-28) from the field in the first half, including a perfect 3-for-3 from the line. Kendrea Williams led all scorers with 24 points and added a game-high six steals for the Peacocks.
- FDU matched their season-high with 24 free throws made, tying the mark set in their last game against Western Kentucky on December 17.
