Scouting the Bison
Bucknell enters the second game of their season looking to bounce back after an away loss to a top-25 opponent in Ohio State. The Bison fell in Columbus by a score of 71-46 and will be looking to right the ship during a tough road stretch. In that opener, First Team All-Patriot League selection Taylor O'Brien led the Bison with 17 points on a 6-for-13 shooting performance from the field. This is a new look Bison team from the side that went 9-1 in a COVID-interrupted season, as, aside from O'Brien, Bucknell does not return a single starter from last season.
Scouting the Knights
The Knights are looking to use the home court to their advantage and bounce back after an overtime loss in Baltimore against Loyola Maryland. Dahomée Forgues has led the way for the Knights over her first two games with the Burgundy and Blue averaging 23.5 points per game, including a career-high 26 in the season opener at St. John's. Alongside Forgues, Chloe Wilson also earned an NEC Prime Performer nod for her work done in the opening week of the season. Wilson averaged 14 points and six rebounds per game, both metrics good for second on the team after the first two games. Leading the team in rebounding average is Madison Stanley, who has pulled down seven per game, and Rachael Niles leads the team in assists with 4.5 per game.
What's Next
The Knights venture back out on the road as they travel into New York to take on Cornell on Saturday, November 20, at 1 p.m. The game will air live on ESPN+.
