The Knights dominated in set one, posting 12 kills and hitting a .333 average as a team. With five kills and a pair of blocks, Stingl paced the Knights on a .444 clip of her own. On a final 8-2 run, the Knights dropped the Warriors 25-14.

Set two was a tight battle as Merrimack held a slight edge on FDU for the first part of the set. The Knights went on a four-point run out of their first timeout to knot the game at 22. With a final service ace by Merrimack's Brooke Leestma, the Knights dropped the second set 26-24.

Set three began in a back-and-forth affair until a series of FDU kills off assists by Schmidt broke open an 18-11 lead. Hitting 16 kills for a .341 clip, FDU took the set 25-16.

Taking off on a seven-point run, the Knights commanded the fourth set. Holding the Warriors to a .068 clip, FDU took the final set and defeated Merrimack.
