MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Fairleigh Dickinson baseball team dropped its final game of a three-game series at Kansas State, 20-1 on Saturday night.
Six different Knights logged one hit in the loss, including junior outfielder
Brad Levinson, who went 1-for-4 and knocked in the team's lone run in the contest. The Staten Island native is now batting .304 on the season.
After a pair of scoreless frames, the Wildcats (6-5), plated two runs in the third before breaking out for seven runs in the fourth.
Trailing 17-0 in the eighth, Levinson doubled to right center field, which chased home freshman shortstop
Jake Ellowitz. Ellowitz had reached via a leadoff walk.
Junior right-hander
Aaron Cohn (0-1) started for the Knights and pitched three innings, allowing a pair of earned runs on three hits.
Jordan Wicks (2-0) earned the victory for the Wildcats, lasting five shutout frames and striking out five.
The Knights return to Teaneck for their next two contests as they host Lafayette and Iona this week at the Naimoli Family Baseball Complex. First up is Lafayette this Tuesday, March 3 with first pitch set for 3:00 p.m.
