Scouting the Dragons
Drexel is off to a 4-2 start and have won four of their last five including an 81-77 victory over St. Joseph's last time out. The Dragons were picked to finish third in the CAA, their highest selection in the preseason poll under fifth-year head coach Zach Spiker. Junior guard Cameron Wynter leads the charge, averaging 18 points, 4.6 assists and four rebounds per contest for the Dragons. Defense has been the calling card for the Dragons this season as they have held their last four opponents under 60 points per game. Saturday's game marks the second for the Knights against a CAA opponent, as they lost at Hofstra earlier this season.

Scouting the Knights
The Knights were selected first in this season's NEC Preseason Poll, their second time earning the designation in the Greg Herenda era. Jahlil Jenkins, an All-NEC Second Team honoree a season ago and classmate Elyjah Williams were each named to the All-NEC Preseason Team.

Freshman guard Joe Munden Jr. picked up his second-straight NEC Rookie of the Week honor on Monday, joining classmate Pier-Olivier Racine, who took home the award in week one. The Knights have won all three awards this season.

In addition to Munden, Williams collected NEC Co-Player of the Week after notching a career-high 24 points in the Knights' first game against CCSU and amassing a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double in the team's win over the Blue Devils on Wednesday. Williams leads the Knights with 15.4 points and 7.0 rebounds per contest

Last Time Out for FDU
Six Knights scored in double figures to lead the Knights to a 79-71 victory over Central Connecticut State inside the Rothman Center on Wednesday, December 8.

The senior duo of Elyjah Williams and Jahlil Jenkins led the way, as Williams registered his first double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Jenkins scored 11 and matched his career-high with nine assists. Making his season debut, junior guard Brandon Powell contributed 11 points and seven rebounds as the Knights led for all but 21 seconds in the win.

Coach Herenda's Thoughts Following Wednesday's Win Over CCSU
"That was a great response by our team tonight. Give Central credit for Tuesday's win but we all knew that we needed to make a statement tonight and we did. We had six players in double figures and 18 assists but our defensive effort was the key to our victory tonight."

"I have been talking about our freshmen since they have come on campus and Mikey certainly did not disappoint us tonight. These young men have been so instrumental to our program during these difficult times both on and off the floor. Mikey, Joe and P.O. have fit into this program from day one and today they all enjoyed the first conference victory together."

Next Up
The Knights conclude non-conference action next Tuesday, December 22 when they visit Fairfield at 7:00 p.m.
