HACKENSACK, N.J. - The Fairleigh Dickinson softball team returns to action on Saturday when they host Mount St. Mary's for an NEC double header beginning at 1 p.m. The games will be available via live stream on NEC Front Row.
FDU currently owns a 10-19 overall record, including a 2-2 mark in NEC Conference play.
THE OPPONENT
The Mountaineers arrive Hackensack as the owners of a 9-18-1 overall record, including a 1-3 mark in NEC play so far this year. The Knights hold a 13-19 record in the all-time series against Mount, with their last victory coming back in 2016, a 2-1 victory. Mount St. Mary's won the most recent matchup between the two squads in April of last year, 7-0.
LAST TIME OUT
FDU is coming off of a home split with Hartford College back on Wednesday. The Knights were stymied offensively for the most part in game one, dropping the opening contest 2-1 before exploding with a huge performance at the plate to take game two 13-5. The Knights had three players each finish with two RBI's as
Reanna Cervantes,
Summer Mendoza, and
Rylie Schmeh drove in six and combined for four hits to lead FDU to the victory.
Erica Johnson picked up the win in relief to move to 2-8 on the season.
FUTURE SCHEDULE
FDU closes out its four game homestead this weekend before heading out on the road to take on Villanova Tuesday in Pennsylvania. The Knights get back into NEC action on Sunday, April 22nd when they head to Sacred Heart for an afternoon double-header.
