HACKENSACK, N.J. - The Fairleigh Dickinson softball team returns to action this weekend when they head to Fairfield, Connecticut for a pair of Sunday afternoon meetings against Stony Brook and Hartford. Both games will be played at Pioneer Park on the campus of Sacred Heart.
The Knights return to action on Tuesday, March 27th when they open up its home schedule with an afternoon double-header against Saint Peters.
THE OPPONENTS
The Knights are 0-1 on the season against Hartford, having dropped their only previous matchup by a final of 6-5 back on March 3rd.
FDU collected ten hits and on the evening, however the Knights could not overcome a five-hit, five-run sixth inning by the Hawks and fell on the road in Baltimore. Sunday will be the 13th meeting all-time between FDU and Stony Brook, with the Seawolves holding a 10-2 all time record in the series. FDU was victorious in the most recent clash, winning 6-0 in Hackensack last year.
LAST TIME OUT
FDU returns to action out of their west coast swing for the first time after inclement weather forced a cancellation of the Knights previously scheduled home opener against the Hawks on March 21st. FDU went 1-5 overall on its trip to California, with the love victory coming in a 2-1 thriller over UC Davis.

FUTURE SCHEDULE
The Knights will take another run at hosting an opponent for the first time this season when Saint Peters visits Hackensack for a double-header Tuesday afternoon beginning at 2 p.m. The Knights open up NEC play two days later when they host the Bryant Bulldogs Friday and Central Connecticut on Saturday.
