Magdalena Maksimovic recorded her first double-double of the season but the Knights fell in four sets at Rider (15-25, 17-25, 25-21, 17-25) on Wednesday night. Maksimovic finished with 12 kills to go along with a season-high 11 digs, while sophomore
Nataliya Rybakova matched her classmate with 12 kills in the loss.
STOUT STEVENS
Freshman
Brooke Stevens continues to standout for the Knights this season with her ability to block the opposition. The Mississauga, Ontario native currently ranks sixth in the NEC 0.88 blocks per set and has helped the Knights achieve the third-most total blocks in the conference.
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Sacred Heart suffered its second-consecutive conference loss, as the Pioneers fell to LIU Brooklyn (25-21, 19-25, 28-26, 16-25, 9-15) on the road Saturday evening. Liisel Nelis led the team with a double-double, registering a game-high 18 kills and 11 digs. Sarah Ciszek added 45 assists and 14 digs in the loss. The Pioneers have dropped two straight but still hold the fourth and final NEC Tournament spot with a two-match lead over St. Francis Brooklyn and Saint Francis U.
