HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson volleyball team fell in straight sets to Rider (25-19, 25-20, 25-17) at the Rothman Center on Tuesday night.

In the loss, senior Taylor Wyckoff nearly recorded a double-double with 10 kills and nine digs to go along with a match-high three block assists, while freshman Magdalena Maksimovic tallied double-digit kills for the third time in the last four outings with 14 kills on the night.

The Broncs (5-6), who topped the Knights (3-8) for the second time in three days were led by Hailey Riede's 13 kills and .344 attack percentage.

The first set saw the Knights capture a 9-8 edge before the Broncs went to work and eventually took control 20-14. Rider junior outside hitter Savannah Logan racked up seven of her 11 kills on the night in the first frame as the Broncs finalized the six-point victory.

Kills by freshman Allison Koester and sophomore Erika Sullivan helped the Knights jump out to a 4-0 lead in the second set and forced a Rider timeout. With Wyckoff and Maksimovic leading the way, the Knights maintained their edge to until it was 14-10.

A 6-2 spurt by the Broncs, spurred by Riede resulted in a 16-16 tie. Tied at 19-19, the Broncs took advantage of some Knights' miscues to score six of the final seven points of the set and take a 2-0 match lead.

In the third and final frame, the Knights built their largest lead of the match 11-4 with Maksimovic providing three kills along the way. The freshman from Serbia registered a match-best .351 attack percentage, committing just one attack error in 37 attempts.

The Knights' lead proved to be short-lived as the Broncs responded with a 9-2 run aided by three kills from senior Jennifer Borio. Borio, who netted 11 kills on the night, was one of three Broncs to finish with double-digit kills in the win.

The momentum continued for the Broncs as they pulled away from an 18-16 score to finalize at 25-17 match-clinching victory.

Rider senior libero Emma Aldaya provided the Broncs with stellar defense as she amassed 26 digs on the night.
