TEANECK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson men's tennis team fell to Bryant on Saturday, 7-0, in Northeast Conference action.
Prior to the match, the Knights honored their four seniors:
Pedro Carvalho,
Diogo Garnel,
Gonzalo Quintana and
Jacob Whalley.
The Knights lone win of the day was at No. 2 doubles.
Diogo Garnel and
Pedro Carvalho defeated Josh Kliger and Jorge Ortiz-Garcia 6-4.
Also in doubles action,
Adam Chan and
Danilo Vukotic fell to Matt Kuhar and Luke Lorenz 6-3 while
Gonzalo Quintana and
Miki Nobuzawa lost to Mike Plutt and Art Jakubowski 6-1.
On the singles side, Quintana fell to Kuhar 6-0, 6-2 while Carvalho lost to Lorenz 6-4, 6-4.
Chan was topped by Jakubowski 7-5, 6-3 at No. 3 singles while Vukotic fell to Guido Argentini 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles.
Garnel lost to Plutt 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles while
Salomon Koster was downed by Ortiz-Garcia 6-2, 6-2.
The Knights are back in action tomorrow at Wagner. The match is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. in Staten Island.
