Women's Basketball Concludes Regular Season at Robert Morris Monday

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- The Faireligh Dickinson women's basketball concludes the regular season on Monday night at Robert Morris. The Knights will be playing in the Northeast Conference Tournament starting next Sunday, March 5. It is the third straight season that the Knights will be playing in the post season. 

QUICK HITTERS
• The Knights can be either the seventh or eighth seed in the Northeast Conference tournament.

• A win for FDU would be its second straight regular season win in Moon. FDU lost last season in the NEC Tournament at Robert Morris in the 3 vs. 6 matchup. 

SERIES SCORE
The Knights seek a season split with the Colonials on Monday night. Robert Morris beat FDU in Hackensack 66-64. Each of the last three contests between the two sides has been single-digit affairs. Robert Morris has won the last two meetings after FDU swept the Colonials in the 2015-16 regular season. 

LAST TIME OUT
Fairleigh Dickinson could not quite catch Saint Francis U on Saturday and fell on the road 73-64. Saint Francis U led for the whole second half but the Knights were within two of three possession for all but one minute. SFU outscored the Knights in every quarter but it was never more than five in any of them (one, five, one, two). The Knights got as close as two, 52-50, in the fourth quarter by the Red Flash scored the next six points move the lead back to eight. Amina Markovic grabbed her sixth double-double of the season with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Courtney Blankenship scored 13 points and Rainey Cox added nine for the Knights.  

ABOUT ROBERT MORRIS
The Colonials enter at 18-10 overall, and 13-4 in NEC play. RMU can win the NEC Regular Season Title outright with a win over FDU and a Sacred Heart loss. If Robert Morris and Sacred Heart both win or loss the two will split the regular season title. Robert Morris beat Sacred Heart on Saturday, 66-56. Senior, Ana Nikki
