HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball hosts Colgate as part of a doubleheader with the men on Wednesday afternoon at noon inside the Rothman Center.

Fairleigh Dickinson seeks a 4-1 start to a season for the first time since 1996-97.

Fairleigh Dickinson and Colgate have met five times with FDU holding a 3-2 advantage in those prior encounters. The two have not met since the 1996-97 season, a game that FDU won 80-57. That game was the lone previous meeting at the Rothman Center between the two sides.
LAST TIME OUT
The Knights suffered their first loss of the season on Sunday to Stony Brook, 56-51. There were 15 ties and nine lead changes as neither side left by more six during the contest. FDU had a chance to tie the game in the final minute, but Amina Markovic missed the second of two free throws and the Seawolves controlled the rebound. Stony Brook made its final six from the charity stripe to seal the win. Markovic had 15 points to lead the Knights. Shania Johnson had a game-high 23 points for Stony Brook.
ABOUT COLGATE
The Raiders are 2-2 on the season and will play their fifth straight road game to start the season on Wednesday. Colgate will play at Towson on Sunday before playing its first game at home against Siena on Wednesday, November 29. Summer King leads Colgate in scoring at 13 ppg. Rachel Thompson and Kateri Stone are both averaging over nine per contest. King also grabs a team-leading nine rebounds per game. Seven different Raiders average at least one assist per game.
