Women's Basketball Hosts Army West Point Monday Night

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball team plays its second straight game at home to start the 2017-18 season on Monday night at 7 p.m. against the Army West Point Black Knights.

QUICK HITTERS
The Knights moved to 64-7 all-time against schools who are currently not DI member institutions after the win over DIII Rutgers-Newark on Friday night, 76-40.

FDU is the only team in the Northeast Conference that will open its season on its home court. All nine other schools will start the 2017-18 season on the road Friday or Saturday.

The 36-point win on Friday night by FDU was the largest by the Knights since beating Wagner by 37, 86-49, back in the 2011-12 season. That game was also at the Rothman Center.

FDU opens the season with back-to-back homes; Friday versus Rutgers-Newark and Monday against Army West Point. The last time that occurred was to start the 2008-09 season when the Knights hosted Bryant, Lehigh, and Rider.

SERIES SCORE
Monday will be the 15th meeting between FDU and Army West Point. The Black Knights have topped the non-colored Knights 10 times in the previous 14 meetings. Three of FDU's four wins have come on its home court in the series.
