HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's volleyball team opens up conference play this weekend with a pair of contests in Brooklyn.
 
On Saturday, the Knights play LIU Brooklyn in a 1 p.m. contest. The Blackbirds were picked to finish second in the NEC annual preseason poll.
 
LIU Brooklyn is currently 3-10 overall and is coming off a 1-2 weekend at the USF Invitational. The Blackbirds lost to Wright State 3-1 and the University of South Florida 3-0. They beat Stetson University 3-1.
 
The Knights are 13-26 all-time against the Blackbirds. Fairleigh Dickinson has not beaten LIU Brooklyn in over 10 years.
 
On Sunday, the Knights face off with St. Francis Brooklyn. The Terriers were picked to finishes sixth in the NEC preseason poll.

St. Francis Brooklyn is 5-11 on the season. The Terriers are coming off a 3-1 win over Delaware State University on Tuesday and face Sacred Heart on Saturday before facing the Knights on Sunday.
 
The Knights are 35-6 all-time against the Terriers. Last season, Fairleigh Dickinson split with the Terriers, winning the first match of the year, 3-0 at home, and lost 3-2 on the road.
