Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Falls at Bradley

Peoria, Illinois – The Fairleigh Dickinson men's soccer team fell to Bradley by a score of 1-0 on Friday night.  The Knights (1-2) and Braves (1-1-1) were even for 87 minutes before Jason Lesch passed to Richard Olson for the game's only goal.

The match, which was broadcast on ESPN3, was part of The Hotels at Grand Prairie Classic.  The tournament also features #16 Utah Valley and Evansville.

Olson fielded a diagonal pass as he moved toward the right edge of the goal box.  Olson shot low - against his momentum - slipping the ball by FDU's Julian Murillo Toro (Cali, Colombia/Francisco de Pio XII) and into the left side of the goal.

Murillo was credited with three saves in the match, but he falls to 0-2 on the season.

Bradley held a 10-3 advantage in shots and a 6-4 edge in corner kicks.

However, in the second half the teams were even in corner kicks and FDU had a pair of shots.

In the 63rd minute sophomore Javen Palmer (London, England/Sedgehill) made a run through the defense down to the left edge of the goal box.  Palmer shot for the far side of the goal, but Bradley's Logan Ketterer tipped the shot away.  Following a pair of corner kicks, redshirt freshman Daniel Lasarte (Madrid, Spain/Defiance (Ohio)) had his shot blocked, ending the Knights best scoring chance of the match.

Palmer was credited with two shots and Lasarte one.

The Knights will return to action on Sunday at 1 p.m. (12 p.m. CST) against Evansville.  The match will conclude FDU's trip to Illinois.
