HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's volleyball team is on the road this weekend for the Mercer University Tournament in Macon, Ga.
 
The Knights will play host team Mercer on Friday at 2:30 p.m. before facing USC Upstate at 5 p.m. They will finish the tournament on Saturday at 10 a.m. against Towson.
 
Fairleigh Dickinson is coming off a 3-2 loss to La Salle in a five-set thriller on Wednesday night. The Knight showed resilience after falling behind 2-0 in the match and fighting to come back and force a fifth set.
 
Mercer is currently 5-4 overall and is coming off a 2-1 weekend at the Best Western Osprey Invite. The Bears fell to North Florida 0-3 before closing out the tournament with two, 3-0 wins against Florida International and Nicholls State, respectively.
 
USC Upstate is 5-7 on the season. The Spartans are coming off a 3-2 win over Charlotte on Tuesday. Similar to the Knights' Wednesday night thriller against La Salle, USC Upstate lost the first two sets to Charlotte before coming back to win the third and fourth sets to force a fifth.
 
Towson, which is currently 9-1, is coming off a 3-0 weekend at the Georgetown Tournament. The Tigers defeated Princeton 3-0, Georgetown 3-1 and Maryland 3-2.
