RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Fairleigh Dickinson and Manhattan tried to get in a doubleheader before the rains came on Tuesday afternoon but the two teams only could only get one in. 

In the lone game, Fairleigh Dickinson (11-27) tried to mount a seventh-inning comeback in between the rain drops but could not make it all the way back. The Knights scored twice in the top of the seventh to make it a 7-3 game but could not bring the tieing run to the plate with runners on. 

Manhattan (22-17) got on the board first in the second inning to take a 1-0 lead. Fairleigh Dickinson then tied the game on a Kellie Natham (Arcadia, Calif./Maranatha) sacrifice fly in the third that scored Madelaine Wilen (Bakersfield, Calif./Ridgeview). It was Natham's 18th RBI of the campaign. 

The Jaspers then struck for two in the bottom of the third inning and then four in the bottom of the fourth to take a 7-1 lead. All seven runs were charged to Knights' starter Baylee Ports (Shaftsbury, Vt./Mount Anthony Union) but only three were earned. The freshman pitched three and a third innings and took the loss to fall to 2-2. 

In the Knights' seventh, the first batters were retired. Serena Meehan (Couina, Calif./Cantwell Sacred Heart of Mary) then reached on an error and moved to second when Wilen walked. Francine Villalobos (Danville, Calif./San Ramon Valley) was hit by a pitch, which loaded the bases. After a brief rain delay, Natham stepped in and hit a single to center field to plate Meehan and Wilen to make it a 7-3 game. Reanna Cervantes (Upland, Calif./Upland) flew out to left to end the game. 

It was Natham's first career three-RBI game and sixth multiple-RBI game of the season.
