However, due to field conditions at Coppin State the Knights will now only play at UMBC on Sunday for a doubleheader.
The Knights lost all four games down at Elon -- three against the host Phoenix and one to North Carolina A&T -- to open the 2016 season. The Knights and the Retrievers have met eight previous times with UMBC winning all right.
SCOUTING UMBC
Maryland Baltimore County sits at 4-10 and 4-3 in its last seven games after losing the first seven games of the season. The offense for the Retrievers is led by Morgan Peyou, who is tops on the team in hits (16) and average (.444) through 14 games. Peyou has also stolen five bases -- tied for the team lead -- and is second in runs scored with 12. Casey Lesko leads the team in home runs at four and RBI at 15. Kelly Lane owns two wins and a 5.00 ERA to lead the rotation.

Madison Lerma (Escondido, Calif./Escondido),
Kellie Natham (Arcadia, Calif./Maranatha) and
Francine Villalobos (Danville, Calif./San Ramon Valley) all hit .333 in the opening four-game set down at Elon.
Courtney Slye (Mission Viejo, Calif./Capistrano Valley) leads the team in average at .375 with three hits in eight at-bats. Natham leads the team in RBI with three with Lerma and
Reanna Cervantes (Upland, Calif./Upland) each with two.
Loren Stavrou (Long Beach, Calif./Wilson Classical) owns the lowest ERA on the team at 4.00.
Madalaine Wilen scored two runs last weekend and now has 69 in her career, which is third most in program history.
