Women's Basketball Seeks Sixth NEC Win at Wagner Saturday

HACKENSACK, N.J. - The Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball team will try to push its NEC record to 6-5 when they make the trip to Staten Island, New York to face the Seahawks of Wagner on Saturday afternoon. 

OPENING TIP
FDU seeks to get back over .500 in league play since starting 1-0. A win would put FDU over .500 this late in NEC play for first time since 2011-12 (7-4)

SERIES SCORE
FDU owns a 35-33 record over Wagner in a series that dates back to the 1977-78 season. The teams have split the last four meetings (home team has won each time). Prior to that the Knights had won 14 in a row. 

LAST TIME OUT
FDU led by 23 in the third quarter, then SFU started making a charge. The Red Flash took the lead with12 seconds to play, 72-71. The Seahawks have two of their last three games after dropping 11 in a row from mid-December to late-January. The Seahawks are led the by leading scoreer in the country, Jasmine Nwasjei at 27.7 points per contest. Jordyn Peck is second on the team in scoring at 8.8 per game. Sofia Roma pulls down 10.8 rebounds -- leads the NEC -- on average and scores 6.0 points per game.
