Women's Hoops Visits Army West Point Monday Night

HACKENSACK, N.J. - The Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball team will hit the road on Monday for a tilt against Patriot League member Army West Point. It will be the second straight game for the Knights against one of the three academies. The Knights play two-of-the-three this season -- they do not play Navy. 

OPENING TIP
FDU will try to snap a two-game slide on Monday night and close the month of November at 3-3. 

SERIES SCORE
Monday night will be the 14th meeting all-time between FDU and Army West Point. The Black Knights hold a 9-4 lead in the series. FDU did win the last meeting 56-48 two seasons ago. That win ended a three-game winning streak for Army West Point.

LAST TIME OUT
FDU was on the wrong end of a 15-2 run in the third quarter by Air Force and lost 56-48 to the Falcons on Saturday afternoon. The Knights got to within three in the fourth quarter but could not get any close and the Falcons scored its last 13 points from the free throw line to close out the game. Air Force was 20-of-28 from the free throw in the game. FDU was 14-of-16 from the line.

FDU has given its opponents 57 attempts from the free throw in the last two games. That comes after only allowing NJIT 11 attempts in the Knights' last win. Queens attempted 29 free throws and made 26 of them, both of which are the most against the Knights by an opponent over the last 36 games. 

CLEANING THE GLASS
FDU is second in rebounds per game at 40.4 and third in the NEC in total rebounds at 202 this season. The Knights grab 17.2 OREB per game, which is in the top 30 nationally.

NEED A BALANCED DIET
FDU is 2-0 when it has three players in double figures. Brianna Thomas and Madelynn Comly have each scored in double figures in those contests. Kiana Brown was in double figures against Longwood and Lauren Francillon scored 11 against NJIT. 

BACK-TO-BACK ROAD WINS
The last time that FDU won back-to-back road wins was against Mount St. Mary's and St. Francis Brooklyn back in 2014-15. 2012-13 against Stony Brook and Saint Peter's was the last time FDU won back-to-back road games in non-conference games.
