HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's volleyball team is set to host a pair of Northeast Conference matches this weekend. On Saturday, the Knights take on LIU Brooklyn before facing St. Francis Brooklyn on Sunday.
It is the second time the Knights will be facing these two teams this season as they enter the second half of their NEC schedule.
In the first meetings this season, the Knights fell 3-0 to LIU Brooklyn and 3-2 to St. Francis Brooklyn.
Fairleigh Dickinson is currently 3-22 overall and 1-6 in conference play. They are coming off a 3-0 victory over NJIT on Wednesday. It was a block party for the Knights against the Highlanders, as the Knights recorded 11 blocks on the night.
The Blackbirds of LIU Brooklyn are coming off a 2-0 weekend against Bryant and Central Connecticut. LIU Brooklyn topped both the Bulldogs and Blue Devils by scores of 3-1. They are currently 8-12 overall and 5-2 in conference play.
The Terriers of St. Francis Brooklyn are coming off two, 3-0 losses last weekend to Bryant and Central Connecticut. They are currently 7-16 overall and 2-5 in the NEC. They will play Sacred Heart on Saturday before facing the Knights on Sunday.
Rebecca Sabol (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) has a team-leading 190 kills for the Knights.
Freshman
Kirstin Trabert (Corona, Calif./Norco) leads wth a .281 hitting percentage as well as 561 assists. She is third on the team with 178 digs.
Carly O'Sullivan (Bogota, N.J./Bogota) has 366 digs to lead the Knights.
Caroline Laton (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon), who had eight blocks against NJIT on Wednesday. She leads that category with 98 total blocks on the season.
