HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's volleyball team returns home after three games on the road to host Sacred Heart on Saturday at 1 p.m.
The Knights, who are 2-21 overall and 1-5 in the Northeast Conferece, are coming off a non-conference, 3-0 loss to Manhattan on Wednesday. The Knights displayed their relentlessness against the Jaspers, falling in all sets by four points or less.
The Pioneers of Sacred Heart are coming off a split weekend last weekend. They beat Bryant 3-0 on Saturday before falling to Central Connecticut 3-2 on Sunday. The Pioneers are currently 12-7 overall and 5-1 in conference play.
The series between the Knights and the Pioneers is tied, 15-15. Fairleigh Dickinson has not beaten Sacred Heart since Sept. 30, 2012.
Rebecca Sabol (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) has a team-high 185 kills on the season, equaling 2.37 kills per set.
Caroline Laton (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) has a team-leading 83 blocks.
Kirstin Trabert (Corona, Calif./Norco) leads with 531 assists and 21 service aces, which is good for ninth in the conference.
Carly O'Sullivan (Bogota, N.J./Bogota) has 342 digs to lead the Knights. She is currently ranked sixth in the conference for digs with 3.78 per set.
