Box Score HACKENSACK, N.J. - Bryant used a 16-0 run in the second quarter to erase a four-point Fairleigh Dickinson lead to win 70-41on Monday night. Bryant (5-8, 2-0 NEC) had four players in double figures and 10 players record at least one assist.
The 41 points for the Knights (4-10, 1-1 NEC) were a season low.
Kelsey Cruz (Chester, Va./Lloyd C. Bird) had 12 points-all in the first quarter-to lead the way.
Erika Livermore (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) had 10.
Anastasia Williams (Central Islip, N.Y./St. John the Baptist Diocesan) had six points and 12 rebounds-seven offensive.
Cruz was 3-for-4 from the field and 2-of-2 from three to help Fairleigh Dickinson open up a 16-12 lead after the opening ten minutes. As a team, the Knights were 5-of-10 in the opening quarter.
In the second quarter, Bryant held Fairleigh Dickinson scoreless for nearly eight minutes and held the Knights to just four points-lowest quarter production of the season--overall in the quarter. The Bulldogs did most of its damage from the free-throw line, going 10-of-12. Chanel Ramcharran had 10 of her 13 in the quarter. Bryant took a 35-20 lead into the halftime break.
The Bulldogs extended the lead to 24, 48-24, with a 13-4 run in the opening six minutes of the third quarter. The Knights scored the final six points of the quarter to cut the deficit to 18, 48-30, heading into the fourth.
The Knights got within 17 early in the fourth, but Bryant extended the lead through the duration of the period. A free throw by Amanda Hinton gave Bryant its largest lead of the night, 29, at 70-41 with seven seconds to play.
Fairleigh Dickinson wraps up non-conference play on Wednesday when Columbia visits the Stratis Arena inside the Rothman Center. The Knights get back into NEC play on Saturday when they visit Sacred Heart.
