Women's Basketball Set for Rematch with LIU Brooklyn Saturday

HACKENSACK, N.J. - For the second time in a span of four days, Fairleigh Dickinson and LIU Brooklyn will face off. The Knights are 2-2 in their last four trips to Brooklyn to face the Blackbirds. 

OPENING TIP
FDU will look to win a third straight NEC game for the first time since they started 4-0 in NEC play back in the 2011-12 season. That streak came against Mount, Wagner, St. Francis Brooklyn at LIU Brooklyn. 

SERIES SCORE
FDU owns a 38-29 (.567) record all-time against LIU Brooklyn. The Knights win on Wednesday snapped a 4-game slide to LIU. FDU last swept LIU back in the 08-09 campaign. 

LAST TIME OUT
Erika Livermore (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) (23) and Kelsey Cruz (Chester, Va./Lloyd C. Bird) (20) combined for 43 of FDU's 75 as the Knights erased an 11-point first quarter dificit to beat LIU Brooklyn. FDU was plus-12 on the glass. 

SCOUTING THE BLACKBIRDS
LIU sits at 5-14 overall and 3-5 in Northeast Conference play after its loss to Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday night, 75-58. The Blackbirds will be looking for thier first home win of the season on Saturday, they are winless in the frist eight attempts. Brianna Farris led the way for LIU on Wednesday with 16 points, she is averagining 6.9 on the season. Jolanna Ford led the way on the backboards while grabbing nine and adding seven points. For the season Ford is averaginig a team-leading 6.7 rebounds and 7.0 points per game.

The graduation of Amanda Andrades (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) and her 175 assists (5.8 apg) and 36.8 minutes leaves a big hole for the Knights. Kiana Brown (Richmond, Va./Hermitage), Madelynn Comly (Littlestown, Pa./Delone Catholic) will compete for those minutes and assists.
