Saturday's Men's Basketball Game Postponed; Now Scheduled for Sunday

HACKENSACK, N.J. – Due to the winter weather expected to blanket New Jersey on Saturday, the men's basketball game between Fairleigh Dickinson and Mount St. Mary's has been postponed.

The Knights (9-9, 5-2 NEC) and Mountaineers (8-12, 5-2 NEC) will now play on Sunday, January 24 at 2 p.m.

Fans can watch Sunday's game live on NECFrontRow.com.

Saturday's women's basketball game between FDU and Mount St. Mary's has also been postponed and will be played at 4:30 p.m. following the men's game.

Series History: This is the 52nd meeting in the all-time series between these programs with the Knights holding a slight 26-25 advantage. Mount won both contests last year and the teams split two meetings during the 2013-14 season. FDU's last victory in the series came on January 9, 2014 an 85-79 victory for the Knights at Stratis Arena.

Anderson's Big Day: Sophomore Darian Anderson (Washington, D.C./St. John's College ) set career-highs with 32 points and nine rebounds against LIU Brooklyn on Thursday, January 21. Anderson scored 28 points in the second half, including 11 in the final 2:30 of the game. He surpassed his previous career-high of 27, set last February against Sacred Heart, on a free throw 45 seconds remaining in the game. His 32 points are the most in a game for an FDU player since Sidney Sanders Jr. scored 32 against Mount St. Mary's on January 9, 2014. His 28 second half points are the most in a period by an FDU player since scored 28 in the second half against Robert Morris on February 1, 2007. Harris finished that game with 34 points.

Highest Scoring NEC Game in Three Years: According to NEC Senior Associate Commissioner and "hoops guru" Ron Ratner FDU's 101-95 victory over LIU is the highest scoring NEC game in over three years. The last game with more total points was a 103-95 victory for Bryant over Quinnipiac on January 10, 2013.
Huge Second Half: The Knights used a 15-0 run between the 11:01 and 8:29 marks to take a 75-70 lead over the Blackbirds. The run was just part of a massive second half scoring effort that saw the Knights post 62 points. It is the second 60+ point half of the season for FDU and the first against a Division I opponent since scoring 64 in the second half against Princeton last season.

Knights Hit Triple Digits: For FDU the 101 points mark the first time the program has eclipsed the 100-point plateau against a Division I opponent in a decade. The Knights last scored 100+ against in regulation against DI team on February 10, 2013 in a game they lost to St. Francis Brooklyn, 110-103.
