WEST POINT, N.Y. – Fresh off a victory over nationally ranked American University, the Fairleigh Dickinson men's soccer team will return to the field on Saturday night at Army West Point. The Knights (2-3) and the Black Knights are scheduled for a 7 p.m. start at Clinton Field on the campus of the United States Military Academy.
Last Sunday, the Knights defeated #21 American University in a thrilling 4-3 double-overtime match. FDU trailed 2-0 and 3-2 in the match, but played hard to force overtime on an 89

Enver Caymaz (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes) for the winning score.
The victory was FDU's first against a ranked opponent since October of 2013 when the Knights earned a 2-1 victory over #11 St. John's.
The Black Knights (1-3-1) are members of the Patriot League, a conference FDU has played frequently this season. Saturday's match is the fourth of five that FDU will play against Patriot League opponents this year. In addition to Army, the Knights have already faced Lehigh, Lafayette, #21 American and will also play Bucknell later this month.
In recognition of his two-goal performance against American, Palmer was honored as Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday. The London, England native leads the Knights in points (5), goals (2), shots (10) and shots on goal (6) this season.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Matthew Weigner (Warrington, Pa/Central Bucks South) was also strong over the weekend with 12 saves, including a career-high eight stops versus American on Sunday.
After playing Army, the Knights will host Siena at University Stadium on Tuesday, September 22. That match is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start.
