Softball Looks to Carry Momentum into Tuesday Doubleheader

HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson softball team (11-17, 7-5 NEC) is on the road for a nonconference doubleheader at local rival Saint Peter's (2-30, 1-13 MAAC) on Tuesday, April 21. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m.

Last Time Out
The Knights compiled a 3-1 record over the past week including two crucial victories at Mount St. Mary's over the weekend, both identical 3-0 scores. Both Loren Stavrou (Long Beach, Calif./Wilson Classical High School) and Megan Reiner (Los Angeles, Calif./John Marshall) each hurled complete game shutouts on the day, with the latter tallying her program record-breaking fourth of the season. Madelaine Wilen (Bakerfield, Calif./Ridgeview High School) continued her hot hitting by going 8-15 (.533 average) on the week and tallying two more home runs to set a personal single season mark while also entering a three-way tie for most all-time in school history with 16.

What You Need Know: Saint Peter's recently grabbed its first conference victory at home against Rider, 12-8. Before that, the Peacocks had struggled to 24 straight losses. On the season, Nicole Olmedo, Chelsea Crews, and Nicole Feoli all hit over .300 and Lee Harrison paces the team with six long balls. In the circle, Crystal Carlucci is the team's go-to pitcher with 10 complete games and a 1-14 record.
