Box Score BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – After the Fairleigh Dickinson women's volleyball team grabbed first and second set victories, the Terriers of St. Francis Brooklyn combatted the Knights advantage to eventually bring the match to a fifth set. Freshman
Savanna Wray (Peoria, Ariz./Sunrise Mountain) tabbed a career-high 33 digs this afternoon including seven in the deciding set. The conference opponent managed to hold a steady edge over FDU in the final set though the lead was in close range. Ultimately, it would be two consecutive kills on their behalf to just edge FDU 15-10. FDU falls to 10-18, 3-10 NEC while St. Francis BK improves to 6-23, 3-10 NEC.
FDU displayed clear control over the first set until the score was deadlocked at 10-10. The duo of junior
Caroline Laton (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) and senior
Allison Butler (Plano, Texas/Plano) would help the Knights to that late advantage they would need to edge St. Francis BK, 27-25. The junior connected kills on clutch passes from Butler in back to back sequences-one coming at set point to give the FDU a 1-0 set advantage
Wray compiled eight digs of her career mark to help the second set also unfold in the Knights' favor. FDU also held St. Francis BK to a -.140 hitting clip to run away with the victory, 25-12.
For the next two sets, St. Francis BK picked up their momentum. While the Knights' still showed spurts of control, the Terriers never backed down. St. Francis BK managed to keep these two sets competitive. Niehely Sosa landed kills at match point of each set to trigger the deciding set. They won the pair of sets each by the score of 25-23.

Rebecca Sabol (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) was the kills leader for the Knights tabbing 13 while senior
Maddie Gibbons (Columbus, Ohio/Grandview Heights) and sophomore
Alex Lolland (Auburn, Calif./Del Oro) each added 10. Butler registered 38 assists.
FDU will play their final match of the 2015 season tomorrow, November 15 against the Blackbirds of LIU Brooklyn. The match is slated for a 1 p.m. start.
