Building it the Knight Way:  Head Coach Greg Herenda will be saying these words frequently as he has adopted the phrase as a motto for the program.  "Building it the Knight Way" is synonymous with "building it the right way"... through hard work and dedication on and off the court.

FDU Third Youngest Team in the Nation:  The 2015-16 FDU roster includes 13 student-athletes of that group 85% (11 players) are either freshman or sophomores, which ties the Knights for the third youngest team in the nation this season.  Only Georgia Southern at 92% and Liberty at 91% are younger.  FDU is tied with the Ohio State Buckeyes at 85%.

Youth Shall Lead Them:  Of the 1,956 points the Knights scored last season, 64.2% (1,295) came from players that were either sophomores or freshmen.

FDU's Youth:  The Knights' roster last season featured nine freshmen and sophomores.  FDU's rotation was also young with 3,851 of the team's 5,875 minutes being played by freshmen and sophomores, which is 65.5% of the team's minutes.

Wearing the "C": Despite never playing a minute in an FDU uniform, redshirt junior Tyrone O'Garro (Newark, N.J./Saint Peter's Prep) has been named FDU's captain for this season.  O'Garro transferred in from Monmouth last fall and sat the season in accordance with NCAA rules.  He did his part off the court last season leading the Knights to the top grade point average among NEC men's basketball programs.  O'Garro can often be found in Stratis Arena during his free time, alternating between shooting baskets and studying.

NEC Academic Award: The Knights were honored by the Northeast Conference in June for posting the highest grade point average among NEC men's basketball teams during the 2014-15 academic year.  The award was a first for the FDU men's basketball program.

Up Next: The Knights will host FDU-Florham on Monday, Nov. 16 and Army West Point on Wednesday, Nov. 18.
