Alex Lolland (Auburn, Calif./Del Oro) each landed nine kills this afternoon. Senior
Allison Butler (Plano, Texas/Plano) posted a double-double of 25 assists and 13 digs.
Set one saw FDU leap out to an early five point advantage until a kill from Terriers' Gabrielle Herrera put them on the board, 5-1. Despite the Terriers consistent efforts, the Knights never trailed. FDU held them to .086 hitting. Sophomore
Taylor Wyckoff (San Diego, Calif./Clairemont) posted half of her eight kills this set to see her team sail to a set one victory, 25-20.
The Knights consistently owned an advantage throughout but with a tie score of nine apiece in set two that nearly changed. With Lolland landing a kill from Butler and Sabol from senior
Corey Lostetter (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson), the Knights now owned a two point advantage. From then on, the Knights continued to add to what later became a set two victory, 25-18.
The third set was the most competitive of the game. The Terriers saw their first lead of the match this set claiming five of the first seven points. However, FDU rallied back and answered with a 3-0 run to even things up, 5-5. The match continued on even footing until the Knights opened up a lead that the Terriers could not combat. Lolland capped off the sweep with another kill from Butler, 25-22.
