TEANECK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson men's soccer team (0-2-0) begins the home slate of its 2014 season on Friday night at University Stadium with a date against Garden State rival Princeton (0-0-0). Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. and will follow the conclusion of the women's soccer home opener against Saint Peter's, which begins at 5:30 p.m. Both matches will be broadcast live on NEC Front Row.

Last Time Out
The Knights started the season on the road last weekend at the VCU Invitational, where they played true road contests against VCU and William & Mary; two teams who received votes in the preseason polls. FDU fell to the #27 Rams, 3-0, on Friday, Aug. 29, before losing to the Tribe, 2-1, on Sunday, Aug. 31. One of the few bright spots of the weekend was senior Nico Wright (St. Catherine, Jamaica/Jamaica College) scoring his 10th career goal, after freshman Jordan Saling (Haledon N.J. /Paramus Cathloic) recorded his first career assist on the play. The Knights started two different goalkeepers in each contest, with junior Aleksandar Djekic (Belgrade, Serbia/Druga Ekonomska Skola) taking the loss between the pipes against VCU, before freshman Matthew Weigner (Warrington, Pa/Central Bucks South) made four saves in his collegiate debut versus William & Mary.

Head Coach Seth Roland will look to earn his 300th career victory on Friday night. Last season, FDU finished 6-1-0 at University Stadium, which included a 3-0 triumph over Princeton. The Knights are 17-4-2 at home since the beginning of the 2011 season.
