W. Volleyball Welcomes Quinnipiac Wednesday

HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's volleyball team (2-10) will host Quinnipiac (1-11) on Wednesday Sept. 24, inside the Stratis Arena, with first serve scheduled at 7 p.m.

Last Time Out
The Knights come into play Wednesday after falling to NJIT a week ago in four close sets, with scores of 25-22, 21-25, 25-20 and 28-26. Freshman Alex Lolland (Auburn, Calif./Del Oro) led the offense for FDU with a career-high 21 kills, while fellow classmate Carly O'Sullivan (Bogota, N.J./Bogota) followed closely by recording her fourth double-double of season with 13 kills and 17 digs. Sophomore Caroline Laton (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) also had an impact on the offense with a total of 11 kills. Junior Allison Butler (Plano, Texas/Plano) dished out a career-high 53 assists along with season-high 15 digs for her third double-double of the season. Senior Deborah Hong (Rutherford, N.J./Rutherford) paced the defense for the Knights with a career-high 33 digs.
 
Scouting the Bobcats
The last time FDU matched up against Quinnipiac was at the 10th Annual Friars Classic on Sept 12. The Knights came from behind to take that match for their second win of the season by scores of 23-25, 19-25, 25-17, 25-17 and 15-7. Since then, the Bobcats have lost four matches to increase their losing streak to 11 matches. Quinnipiac's offense is led by sophomore Allison Leigh, who has a total of 60 kills. She is followed by freshmen Elizabeth Kloos and Jamie Termotto, with 58 and 55 kills, respectively. Freshman Sierra Dawson leads the team with a total of 240 assists, with the next closest being sophomore Emma Ogden, who has recorded 105 assists. On defense for the Bobcats, sophomore Cody Michaels has a team-leading 153 digs, while Leigh leads the squad with 42 total blocks. .

Up Next
Following the match against Quinnipiac, the Knights will open Northeast Conference play this weekend on the road. FDU will take on Robert Morris on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m., before traveling to Loretto, Pa. on Sunday, Sept. 28 to face Saint Francis U at 1 p.m.
