Live StatsHACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson softball team (7-10) returns to action after an 11-day hiatus when it travels to Riverdale, N.Y. to face Manhattan (4-14) for a doubleheader, with game one's first pitch scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
The Knights were originally scheduled to face Quinnipiac last Thursday in their home opener, but a heavy downpour overnight made the field unplayable. FDU last played on March 16 when it collected its first true road victory of the season, a 3-2 win over San Diego.

What You Need To Know: The Jaspers' Jenn Vazquez was named the MAAC Rookie of the Wee after hitting .438 over a six-game stretch last week. The catcher/first baseman was named collected the weekly conference accolade for the second consecutive time this season while compiling a .348 batting average, three doubles and two long balls. The Manhattan offense is also led by Elena Bowman, who leads the team in batting (.352, 19 H), runs (16), doubles (5), home runs (6), RBI (20) and a .815 slugging percentage. She was named the MAAC Player of the Week two weeks ago. The Jaspers have found themselves in a hole early in the season because the pitching staff has a combined ERA of 4.91 and while teams are hitting .310 of Manhattan pitching.
Up Next The Knights will begin Northeast Conference play this weekend when they host doubleheaders against Bryant and Central Connecticut beginning on Saturday, March 29, with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday's contest with the Blue Devils will start at 12 p.m.
