Last Time OutThe Knights suffered a hard-fought home loss on Wednesday to NJIT, 68-64, with a second-half rally falling just short. The team was plagued by poor shooting from the field and led by
Kelsey Cruz (Chester, Va./Lloyd C. Bird) and
Amanda Andrades (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) with 13 points each on a combined 7-of-26 shooting. Redshirt junior center
Erika Livermore (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) was hampered by foul trouble in the middle of the contest and finished with just 12 points and six rebounds in 30 minutes after posting a big double-double in the season opener. FDU's team defense is much improved, however, and its 16 assists, led by a career-high seven from Andrades, is the most since 2012.
