W. Volleyball Finishes Regular Season At Home

HACKENSACK, N.J.  --  The Fairleigh Dickinson women's volleyball team (6-21, 4-8 NEC) close out the regular season hosting Central Connecticut State (9-15, 5-7 NEC) on Saturday Nov. 15, and Bryant (11-22, 6-7 NEC) for senior day on Sunday Nov. 16, with first serve slated for 1 p.m. both days.

Last Time Out
The Knights come into play after falling to Sacred Heart in three sets with scores of 25-15, 25-22 and 27-25. Freshman Carly O'Sullivan (Bogota, N.J./Bogota) led the offense with 10 kills. At the net junior Allison Butler (Plano, Texas/Plano) would record 22 sets and 10 digs to get a double-double, while junior Maddie Gibbons (Columbus, Ohio/Grandview Heights) would have eight total blocks. On defense senior Deborah Hong (Rutherford, N.J./Rutherford) would have a team-leading 15 digs, followed by junior Corey Lostetter (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson)'s 11 digs.


Scouting the Blue Devils
CCSU is coming into the weekend after falling to NEC powerhouse LIU Brooklyn in three sets. The Blue Devils offense is led by junior Makenna Lommori, who has accumulated 269 kills, while senior Rachel Dunlap follows with 225 kills. At the net for CCSU Lommori leads the team with 501 assists, while Dunlap is a force with a total of 121 blocks. Sophomore Rachel Fish leads the defense for the Blue Devils with a team-leading 318 digs, and is followed by senior Brittany Schumacher with 240 digs.


Scouting the Bulldogs
Bryant is coming into the weekend after beating Sacred Heart in five sets. The offense for the Bulldogs are led by senior Elena Lohr with 323 kills, and is followed by sophomore Sara DePouw with 265 kills. At the net for Bryant freshman Vika Nesteroy has a team-leading 971 assists while freshman Alexandra Lunsford lead the squad with 91 blocks. Junior Dobora Magalhaes lead the defense for the Bulldogs with 641 digs followed by Nesterov with 315 blocks.

Up Next 
There is a four way battle for a berth into the NEC tournament. The Knights will need to win both games this weekend, as well as Bryant and CCSU losing its other two games, in order to make it into the tournament. The last time that these teams faced each other, the Knight defeated CCSU in three sets, but feel to Bryant in three sets.
