W. Volleyball to Host Robert Morris and SFU

HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's volleyball team (4-17, 2-5 NEC) will host Robert Morris (8-15, 6-1 NEC) on Saturday Oct. 25 with first serve slated at 1 p.m. before hosting Saint Francis U (8-13, 4-3 NEC) on Sunday Oct. 26 with first serve set at 3 p.m. in the Stratis Arena, in Hackensack, N.J.

Last Time Out
FDU comes into the weekend after beating Central Connecticut in three sets with score of 25-19, 26-24 and 25-23 before falling to Bryant in three sets with scores of 25-29, 26-24 and 25-13. Freshman Carly O'Sullivan (Bogota, N.J./Bogota) would lead the Knights on offense and defense over the weekend recording two double-doubles with a total of 23 kills and 24 digs. At the net for FDU junior Allison Butler (Plano, Texas/Plano) would lead the team with 50 assists, while senior Hanifa Addi (Springdale, Md./Charles H. Flowers) would record 11 blocks at the net followed by freshman Taylor Wyckoff (San Diego, Calif./Clairemont) who would get a career high 8 blocks. Senior Deborah Hong (Rutherford, N.J./Rutherford) would be a force on defense recording a total of 24 digs in the two matches.

Scouting the Colonials  
Robert Morris is coming into the weekend after beat St. Francis Brooklyn in three sets, before falling to LIU Brooklyn in four sets. The Colonials offense is led by sophomore Arden Fisher who has accumulated 182 kills, while senior Becky Jay follows with 161 kills. At the net for Robert Morris freshman Brianna Frakes leads the way with 533 assists while Jay has a team-leading 87 blocks. On defense for the Colonials senior Melissa Bograd has a squad-leading 366 digs with Fisher following close behind with 275 digs.

Scouting the Red Flash
Saint Francis U is coming into the weekend after falling to LIU Brooklyn in three sets before beating St. Francis Brooklyn in three sets. The offense for the Red Flash is led by junior Hannah Kutny with 242 kills she is followed by senior Kayla Jeckell with 184 kills. At the net for SFU senior Alanna Blenkarn lead the squad with 807 assists while sophomore Sophie Murdock has a team-leading 74 blocks. On defense it is freshman Jenna Veres that has 352 digs.

Up Next 
Following the conference matches on Saturday and Sunday, FDU will have a mid-week matchup against St. Francis Brooklyn on Wednesday Oct. 29 in Brooklyn Heights, N.Y.  First serve will be slated for 7 p.m.
