What You Need To Know:Â Senior guard Cleandra Roberts leads the Blackbirds in both scoring (18.3 ppg) and rebounding (7.7 rpg). Sophomore Sophie Bhasin adds 10.8 points per game off the bench. LIU lost to Columbia in its season opener, 62-59, and FDU's only victory of the season came over the Lions. Both programs also lost to NJIT in the nonconference schedule, with the Blackbirds losing by two at home and the Knights losing by 13 in Newark, N.J. In NEC play both teams lost to St. Francis Brooklyn, but FDU lost to the Terriers by only two, compared to LIU's 21-point defeat at the Barclays Center. The Blackbirds' lone conference win came against CCSU at home, 60-51.
