HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team (3-9) will look to snap a three-game losing skid late Saturday afternoon when it makes the 11-mile trip to the Upper West Side of Manhattan to take on Columbia for a 4 p.m. contest at Levien Gymnasium, which can be heard live on FDUKnights.com. It will mark the final game of seven consecutive away from Stratis Arena

The Knights have been idle since Dec. 9 when they were defeated at No. 23/22 Iowa, 92-59. Senior Mathias Seilund (Dragoer, Denmark/Falkonergaardens Gymnasium) came off the bench to score a career-high 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field, including 3-of-4 from distance, grabbed a team-high five rebounds and recorded three blocks and two steals on the defensive end, while senior Sidney Sanders Jr. (Charleston, S.C./Burke) added 16 points.

What You Need To Know: The Lions have been dominant at home this season going 4-1 and earning double-digit wins in each triumph. Columbia is coming off a big victory over Greg Herenda's former school, UMass-Lowell, 78-39, at home on Dec. 9 in what is its largest margin of victory since 2011, and the first time holding an opponent below 40 points since 2001. The Lions have three double-digit scorers, led by sophomore guard Grant Mullins at 12.3 points per game and sophomore Maodo Lo, who adds 11.6 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.

FDU will have another long layoff before returning to action at Stratis Arena to face Hofstra for a 4 p.m. tipoff on Sunday, Jan. 5. It will be the Knights first home game since Nov. 22 and only third all season. The contest will mark the second time FDU will matchup with the Pride on the court this season.
